You can bring with you in the cabin 1 personal accessory (women's handbag, PC bag or document bag) weighing up to 2 kg, to be placed under the seat and 1 carry-on bag to be placed in the appropriate overhead bins.

 

Your carry-on baggage may be the following size:

Size carry-on baggage

ALL CLASSES - maximum size 55 cm x 35 cm x 25 cm should not exceed 9 kg Packages that exceed these limits must be stowed in the hold.

 

 

The carry-on baggage must be presented at the Check-in desk, so that the airport and airline staff can view it and authorize you to transport it in the cabin, identifying it with a special label. Please note that space on board is limited and there may be no room for all luggage. If the overhead bins are full, we may ask you to take your luggage in the hold.

 

 

Do you have any liquids?

For the safety of everyone, in your carry-on baggage you can carry liquids only in small quantities contained in single containers of the maximum capacity of:

The sum of your containers with liquid will not in any case exceed 1 L. Place your containers that contain liquid in a transparent and resealable plastic bag (maximum size allowed 18 cm x 20 cm). Each passenger can have only one bag of liquids with them. Water and all kinds of drinks, soups, syrups, creams, lotions, oils and perfumes, spray products and those under pressure, deodorants of all types, toothpastes, mascara and all pasty substances.

 

 

 

You can carry some items with you, without having to put them in the resealable bag and without volume restrictions but limiting them to what is necessary for air travel. They can be transported outside the transparent bag: medicines, prescribed liquids for diet and baby food.

 

You can also buy liquids in Duty Free stores that are located beyond the safety checkpoints or on board the aircraft used by Air Companies of the European Union. Products purchased from Duty Free will be delivered to you in sealed bags, to be opened only on arrival at your destination.

Info checked baggage

You won't be able to access the baggage you choose to check in for the duration of your flight. Checked baggage is weighed, labeled and registered on your ticket. We will deliver a receipt to recover them easily on arrival at your destination. As required by current law, please note that it is forbidden to carry any valuable or valuable material in checked baggage (credits, identity documents, jewelry, cameras, telephones and anything else). It is forbidden to give or accept luggage from other passengers.

 

 

 

The deductible

The deductible varies depending on the route and duration of your trip (except for several specific indications). It is counted for each passenger, it is not cumulative, nor transferable to others, not even in part.

Baggage labels

EGO Airways labels identify your baggage. Your first name, last name, address and phone number is entered on the label. Remember to remove previous travel labels from your luggage to help Ground Staff recover your luggage in case of loss or miss.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Prohibited luggage

Under the Regulation (EU) No. 2015/1998 and current regulations, there are items that you cannot carry with you, either in carry-on baggage or in checked baggage. To find out all the prohibited items in flight see the ENAC information.

Do you have special baggage?

Do you have special baggage?

With EGO Airways, it is permitted to transport sports equipment and large luggage such as musical instruments at special rates, which can be found on the Reference Table.

The presence of special baggage must be communicated to the travel agent or the Company's booking office at least 4 days before your flight. This type of baggage is subject to space/weight availability and is not part of ordinary baggage and is not subject to baggage allowance. EGO Airways reserves the right not to check in such baggage in case of storage problems in the hold.

WARNING: THE TRANSPORT OF OVERBOARD IS NOT ALLOWED NEITHER IN THE CABIN NOR IN THE HOLD

 

 

How to carry your special baggage?

It is essential that sports equipment is well packed and guarded to avoid damage to the equipment or other luggage.

 

Bicycles

You can board a well-packed bicycle in cardboard box or plastic bag, with deflated and disassembled wheels and with pedals and handlebars turned in the same direction as the frame. It is not possible to board drill cans. In the absence of proper packaging, EGO Airways is not responsible for any damage.

 

The rates applicable to the transport of bicycles are shown in the Reference Table up to 15 kg. Each excess kg will be subject to extra baggage fees.

 

Each flight can carry up to 5 non-motorized and non-e-bikes. You can't carry tandem bikes as well.

 

 

Diving equipment

A set of diving equipment includes mask, snorkel, fins, neoprene wetsuit, gav, regulator, strictly empty and well-packed oxygen cylinder, off lamp with non-internal batteries. Sub equipment is subject to the fees conditions available in the Reference Table.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Golf bags

Each golf bag can contain clubs and a pair of golf shoes.

The rates applicable to the transport of golf bags are shown in the Reference Table up to a weight of 15 kg. Each excess kg will be subject to extra baggage fees. (XBAG).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Surfboards and similar

The surfboards (maximum size 300 cm x 65 cm x 5 cm) must be well packed. The rate to be paid is shown in the Reference Table up to 20 kg of weight. Each excess kg is subject to extra baggage (XBAG) pricing. It is not possible to carry windsurfing boards and waveboards.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Fishing equipment

Reeds, baits, bags, baskets and bags are not special luggage and are checked in the hold with the normal deductible fee.

 

 

 

Musical instruments

Musical instruments can be transported in 3 ways. In any case, communicate the presence of a musical instrument at least 48 hours before your departure.

This solution is included in all fares except the JUST GO BASIC and can be chosen if the instrument is small as in the case of violins or smaller instruments (maximum size 55 cm X 35 cm X 25 cm) and weight not greater than 9 kg. The instrument must be stored in the overhead bins.

As checked baggage

This solution is preferred for instruments of higher size, well packed or with a hard case weighing no more than 32 kg. The transport of a musical instrument in the hold must be booked at the same time as the passenger. You can contact the Call Center directly for boarding costs.

EGO Airways is not responsible for any damage to instruments without proper packaging and hard case.

On an additional seat

Large instruments can be placed on a cabin seat as long as they are 155 cm x 42 cm x 25 cm, otherwise 110 cm x 42 cm x 50 cm, weighing no more than 75 kg. This option is only possible by booking the additional seat at the same time as the passenger ticket is issued, after checking availability on board. You can contact the Call Center directly for costs.

 

 

 

 

 

Sports weapons

You can only carry weapons and ammunition for sports hunting, strictly in the hold. This transport is subject to a fee and its cost varies depending on the short-to-medium or long-haul destination. If you need to carry weapons and sports ammunition, you must report it to the Call Center or your travel agency at least 4 days before your flight departure.

Each passenger can carry the weapon, his or her case and a quantity of ammunition of no more than 5 kg.

 

 

Please note that this transport is subject to very strict rules:

  • You must have all the necessary permits
  • All ammunition must be used for shooting sports only.
  • Firearms and rifles must be unloaded and packaged in unbreakable custody.
  • Cartridges and ammunition must be stored separately and properly packaged.
  • Flammable or explosive ammunition cannot be carried.

When checking in, you must fill out a form stating that your weapons are unloaded and ammunition is separate.

Once your special baggage has been accepted and labelled, the weapons will be taken in charge by the Airport Security Officers and brought on board escorted and separated from the rest of the baggage. The weapon will only be returned to you at your destination, on special belts and according to local regulations. For example, for flights arriving in Italy, the passenger will retrieve the weapon from the Police Office.

 

 

 

Televisions

The transport of televisions is only permitted in the hold according to the applicable tariff. We will ask you to sign a legal liability discharge form against EGO Airways. Above 32 inches you will need to contact the call centre in advance to obtain clearance for transport.

 

 

 

Humanitarian material

The transport of material for humanitarian purposes is subject to national and international regulations in force in the country of origin and destination. Please contact the call centre to complete the procedures for free transport authorisation.

Here you can fill in the PIR (Property Irregularity Report) and receive the reference code. At any time, by entering the reference code on http://www. worldtracer. aero/filedsp/no. htm you can check the status of your search.

You can also get news about the search by contacting the Airport Lost and Found Service, within 5 days after the loss, at the number you find on the report.

 

At some airports you may receive a manual and not an electronic PIR. In this case we recommend that you promptly send a copy to the Lost&Found EGO Airways office at the following email address lostandfound@egoairways.com.

At the Lost and Found desk you will also be given the Baggage Description form and the Misdirected or Damaged Baggage Assistance form. You will also be shown the procedure for claiming a refund.

 

To speed up the management of your file, send a copy of the form to this email address: lostandfound@egoairways.com.

According to IATA regulations, passengers are required to send the list of contents to the carrier within 21 DAYS from the date of loss of baggage, under penalty of losing the right to a thorough second phase search.

IMPORTANT: If you leave the customs area without reporting (PIR), EGO Airways will not be able to provide assistance.

 

 

Baggage recovery

As soon as your baggage is tracked down, it will be sent to you on the first useful flight if you are still at the destination where it was lost. If you have already returned, our trusted forwarding agent will contact you to arrange a return. EGO Airways is responsible for the delivery costs.

  • Baggage Irregularity Report (PIR) issued by the Lost and Found office of the arrival airport
  • Copy of travel documents

You will be given the form Baggage Assistance misdirected, or damaged, with the procedure to follow.

 

You will receive an e-mail with the identification number of the open file and further information. You can monitor the status of your file by accessing the Restricted Area.

In case of complaints, EGO Airways shall respond within 30 days from the date of receipt.

If on arrival you realize that your baggage has been damaged, go immediately to the Lost and Found desk at the airport and file a Damage Property Report (DPR) before leaving the airport. EGO Airways reserves the right not to accept late repair requests.

 

If you notice the damage only after leaving the airport, at home, or at the hotel, you must report it to the competent authorities within 7 days from the date of your flight, as required by law. It is essential to prove that the baggage was damaged while under the responsibility of the air carrier.

 

Within the limits of the carrier's liability, and according to the terms and conditions set out in the General Conditions of Contract, the baggage will be repaired or replaced.

In order to speed up the handling of the file, please send an e-mail to lostandfound@egoairways.com attaching the following documentation:

  • Original damage ratio (DPR)
  • Copy of the boarding pass and baggage tag
  • the form Baggage Assistance misdirected, or damaged, completed and signed

 

 

Is your luggage too damaged to use?

If your baggage is too damaged to be used on your return flight, we will refund you the purchase of a new baggage, up to a value of €100.00.

 

To obtain a refund, send us the receipt of your new purchase together with the documents listed in the Refund Request section.

 

In the event of damage to a disabled passenger's wheelchair, stroller and other mobility aids or special sports equipment, send a request for reimbursement in the manner described in the Request for reimbursement section.

Minor damages

EGO Airways is not responsible for minor and non-structural damage to your suitcase due to normal handling operations. Minor damages are considered minor cuts, breakages, dents, padlocks, wheels, zips, straps and damage to what comes out of the baggage. Remember to prevent minor damage by preparing your baggage in the best possible way.

 

EGO Airways does not cover minor damages but authorizes the Lost and Found offices of its airports to open a courtesy damage report (Courtesy DPR) to be submitted to the Tour Operator's Insurance or to a supplementary insurance policy taken out by the passenger.

Courtesy DPR is a pure commercial courtesy and does not imply any recognition of liability on the part of EGO Airways.

If, when collecting your baggage, you realize that it has been tampered with and that some of its contents are missing, you must immediately contact the Lost and Found desk at the airport of arrival to make a complaint.

 

If you notice the theft only having left the airport, home or hotel, you must report it to the competent authorities within 7 days from the date of the flight as required by law.

 

The complaint (PIR or to the police authority) will have to be attached to the claim.

 

EGO Airways will not reimburse items such as valuables, jewelry, computers, mobile phones, video/photo cameras and medicines, and documents and all other items that are not permitted to be carried in checked baggage.
